Yes, this one is about books - found it on tumblr. Was searching for Dostoevsky quotes.
Yeah.. lazy still.
Here goes:
1. One book / books you're currently reading:
"Origins" by Neil de Grasse Tyson & Donald Goldsmith, "The Demon Haunted World" by Carl Sagan, & "Wuthering Heights" by Emily Brontë
2. The book that changed your life early on, as a child:
"Space (To other Planets)" by Pavel Klushantsev (..and a few other fabulous Mir Publication science books!)
3. One author's works you'd be stranded on a deserted island with:
One author wouldn't really be enough, but if it absolutely came to that - Satyajit Ray
4. One book you've never been able to finish:
Two actually, "Art of War" by Sun Tzu & "War and Peace" by Leo Tolstoy.. dunno why. :S
Do you see a trend here..?
5. One book that made you laugh:
"Ha Ja Ba Ra La" by Shukumar Roy
6. One book that made you cry:
"The Diary of a Young Girl" by Anne Frank
7. One book you keep rereading:
I usually don't. So much to read, such paucity of time..
8. One book you've been meaning to read:
"The Cleft" by Dorris Lessing
9. One book you believe everyone should read:
"Flowers for Algernon" by Daniel Keyes
10. One book that you wish you read earlier than you actually did:
"The Fountainhead" by Ayn Rand.
11. One author you wish you were friends with:
Fydor Dostoevsky
12. One book that you took you gave better direction to your life:
"Surely You're Joking, Mr. Feynman!" by Richard P. Feynman
13. One author you feel you wasted time on:
Quite a few, but Chetan Bhagat comes to mind, presently.
14. Finally, grab the nearest book. Open it to a random page. Write out a random sentence.
"The difficulties of detecting dark matter, intimately connected with our difficulties in perceiving what what it might be, raise the question: If all matter has mass, and mall mass has gravity, does all gravity have matter?"
[Pg.69 bookmarked, 6th. sentence; "Origins" - Tyson N. dG., Goldsmith D.]
I tag you, my Strega.. let's see what you come up with.
